Magda doesn’t have friends, family or even an odd acquaintance. She’s not lonely though, because a voice comes to visit her every night, in her locked room at the psychiatric institution she calls home. This is until her Doctor tells her she must kill her nightly visitation.

Alex sits down for dinner with his family. The conversation is unusually awkward and the spotlight is turned towards him and his recent endeavour. Questions close in: when, why, how? His family find it almost impossible to take an interest in how Alex feels, their focus is on how he tried to take his life. What does it take for a family to embrace their son’s depression and cast off their own fear and stigma attached to it?

Doloria had heard her mother tell this story a thousand times before. But today something was different. Today this story, which she could recite word for word began to morph and shift slowly, almost inconceivably at first.  A different word here and there and then a whole phrase, until this once over familiar story from the past began to align with Doloria’s present. Why, why now and what did it mean?
